I just got my copy of the most recent TIME magazine ...

The Economist's Cookbook is going to take on TIME magazine in the near future.

I need to collect more thoughts and data, but yes, a long post is coming in the near future.

    The suggestion that "Wall Street is making us pay" misses the point. The poor risk management of Wall Street is a fact. But [Time Magazine and others] please don't lay the blame at the feet of Wall Street for the decision of the government to force the bailout on the American people. Granted, there would be lots of short-term pain if [some of] these institutions were allowed to fail. But the short-term pain pales in comparison to the long-term pain we will experience because of the moral hazard that the bailout creates.
